Hi, my name is Heather and I am a novelist.
I am also: A mother, a blogger, a wife, a content officer (i.e., I work professionally at the intersection of business, writing, and marketing), a friend, and a chicken raiser.
I started my first novel five months before my 40th birthday, when I realized that I would never get to it if I kept waiting for life to get easier, for me to “have more time.” I started getting up an hour early every day to work on my craft.
I became amazed at just how doable this novel thing is in just one hour a day. I got hungry for more, and eager to share my journey. I started getting up two hours early so I could write for one, and then blog about writing for another. I may have a problem.
This site is where I feed my addiction. I share my struggles and my successes, as well as some really great videos, quotes, and blog links to successful writers talking about writing. And probably some book reviews (on books about writing, of course).
As of last update, 7-15-2013, my novel is still in process. I’m possibly one eighth of the way through initial revisions, with an expected manuscript completion date somewhere in late October 2013.
If you’re curious, you can learn more about me at Heatherhead.com. I also have a homesteading/homeschooling blog at curiositycat.wordpress.com. You can connect with me on LinkedIn, or hang out with me on G+ or Facebook or Twitter.
P.S. My full name is Heather Head. You probably don’t care, but I want the Google bots to know. Hi, Google bots.
